Hogjaw FatCake Media, Hogjaw,

1. Hogjaw is the Southern Rock band of the first decade of the Millennium. Paul Chamberlain @ ARFM- Radio station in England, UK my problem is deciding what songs to play first coz all are so damn good! It’s been well worth the wait. Hand on heart, Hogjaw is THE Southern Rock band of the first decade of the Millennium. Back to basics, no frills the like of which we haven’t seen since the early days of Blackfoot & Doc Holliday. Hell yeah!

2. Playing the dirty Southern rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd!!! Niki D’Andrea – music editor @ Phoenix New Times ( live music review) “All three of us marveled at how much Hogjaw reminded us of the dirty Southern rock of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and I was impressed with the band’s musicality. The guitar riffs were gritty, the solos were solid, and the drummer used lots of cowbell. Fans of monster rock like ZZ Top, Nashville Pussy, and Mountain would do well to check out Hogjaw.”

3. The CD rocks from Begginning to end!!! Michael Buffalo Smith @ gritz Magazine & Swampland.com Hogjaw is back and they are dishing up their heavy Southern Rock with an oversized ladle. The cover art on the CD rocks, which really sets the stage for the music, which is like a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd and Metallica. If you like you’re Southern Rock hard and heavy, Hogjaw is your band. More Blackfoot than MTB, more Hatchet than Cowboy. Check ‘em out.

4. This music brings the balls back to Southern Country Rock! Skydog @ Red Dirt Radio – Texas, USA Hey Y’all ! Received the CD a few days ago and it hasn’t left my CD player since. I’ve added “The Fog” and “Cheap Whiskey” to the play list on Red Dirt Radio. Keep on rockin’ y’all…this music brings the balls back to Southern Country Rock!

5. Hogjaw’s – Devil in the Details is a huge succsess! Martin Cizmar, “you asked for it” @ Phoenix New Times – (cd review) By that standard, Hogjaw’s Devil in the Details is a huge success. If you didn’t know any better, you’d swear you were listening to gen–u–ine Southern swamp rock. Pretty good swamp rock, actually. Devil is full of Tabasco-flavored licks and vivid libretto set to a steady churn of greasy bass lines and endearingly efficient drumming.

6. WOW! I am really impressed! Jo Jo Billingsley – Original (honkette) back-up singer for Lynyrd Skynyrd – USA WOW! I am really impressed ! Your drummer is excellent. I am loving the vocals. Turn up the piano and the bass player a little bit and I think you will you have yourself a hit! Thanks for including me to hear it. I wish you all the very best! God bless you. Love, JoJo

7. I hear dozens of new bands a week, and yours caught my ear! Job @ DRT Entertainment – New York, USADiggn yer tunes… I work for an indie rock label called DRT Entertainment. I like the stuff. You’ve got yerself a real quality jam! I hear dozens of new bands a week, and yours caught my ear…

8. This band’s got a great sound that is uniquely their own! Teri (Editor in Chief) @ Southern Fried Magazine – USA This band’s got a great sound that is uniquely their own, but their southern influences can definitely be heard on most of the tracks. I hear a little Skynyrd, MTB, Hatchet, Metallica and some ZZ Top. But most importantly what I hear are four talented musicians that have worked very hard and have written some great music.

9. The playing and singing are solid! TAXI- A&R company – USA for Ironwood The playing and singing are solid!! I’m digging instrumentation & musicianship.

10. Ironwood – their 2nd cd, is dripping with beer drinking & bbq eating anthems. Kevin – Crestfallenradio – Take some Skynyrd, add in a good dose of Shooter Jennings and top it off with some Alabama Thunderpussy & Nine Pound Hammer and you get Hogjaw, a kick ass southern rock band from Arizona. Ironwood, their 2nd and newest cd, is dripping with beer drinking & bbq eating anthems.

11. Uptempo trad Southern rock with riff & rythyms aplenty! Joe Geesin – getreadytorock.com – UK for Ironwood 4/5
